Free Simple WordPress Theme – Awakening

Opencodez Team release another free wordpress theme Awakening. The theme is developed on top of Zurbs Foundation Responsive Framework that means the theme will look great on any device be it mobile, tab or desktop. Theme provides strong admin configuration support to manage backend of your website. Features include 6 different layouts for posts and pages, nicely designed and customizable footer with its own widgets. In addition to this the theme comes with pre-installed widgets for Google Custom Search Engine, Feedburner, Archives, Category. Here we are trying to give you brief on each of these aspects.

As you can see above theme provides 4 different types of settings. Basic Settings for layouts, header changes, logo. If you are planning to use custom front page for your business site you need to use Front Page Settings to setup slider, images, blurb text, widgets in front page area. Social is to show your social presence and finally Ads Tracking can help you earn from some of advertisement affiliates by allowing you to put in your ads without help of any plugin or so.

Awakening gives you six different types of layouts to choose from. This puts you in control on how your site looks and works. The layouts are full width, sidebar/content, content/sidebar, sidebar/content/sidebar, sidebar/sidebar/content, content/sidebar/sidebar. The options panel also allows you to decide how many widget areas you want to display in Extended Footer. The default is three (3).

A complete section is dedicated to front-page settings where admin can choose to display slider, slider images, blurb text. It even allows you to decides number of front page widget areas. So you can manages your frontpage much better.

Social presence is one of the most important feature that all site owners want to put in on their site. Awakening provides you social settings which is very easy to manages. You just have get your profile url and put it against the corresponding social entity and save. eg. if you want to show your facebook profile, you have to simply get the profile url and paste it against the area provided for facebook. We support Facebook, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Pintrest, Twitter and RSS. If you setup all these your footer will get nice social icons as shown below
